Pennsylvania Officer, Civilian Motorist Injured in Vehicle Collision

An officer with the Pittsburgh Police Department and a civilian were injured when their vehicles collided in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

An officer with the Pittsburgh Police Department and a civilian were injured when their vehicles collided in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the incident occurred shortly after midnight as the officer was leaving the station parking lot to respond to a call and entering an intersection.

The officer was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of shoulder pain.

The civilian driver complained of neck and shoulder pain, but refused medical treatment.
