A three-vehicle fatal crash around 6:20 p.m. on Friday night killed Commerce City (CO) Police Officer Curt Holland.

Colorado State Police said a Ford F-350 going southbound on Highway 2 went off the highway onto the shoulder, then came back onto the road and crossed the center line, striking the unmarked police SUV.

Colorado State Police said a Ford F-350 going southbound on Highway 2 went off the highway onto the shoulder, then came back onto the road and crossed the center line, striking the unmarked police SUV driven by Officer Holland and a Kia driven by a 31-year-old woman. Both were killed.
The driver of the Ford F350, has been identified as 45-year-old Fructoso Rosales-Cano. He sustained serious injuries in the crash, KDVR reports.
CSP is investigating the cause of the crash.
