An 8-year-old Toledo boy and some of his friends raised $13,000 for the family of a fallen officer by selling hot cocoa over the weekend.
Max Titkemeier donated all of his proceeds to the family of Toledo Officer Brandon Stalker who was shot and killed at a standoff last Monday.
"I heard he died and they had a little one and a 7-year-old," Max told ABC6.
Customers stopped by to show support throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday including members of Officer Stalker's family and many, many police officers, WTOL reports.
This isn’t Max’s first-time raising money for a Toledo police family, though.
In July, when Officer Anthony Dia was killed in the line of duty, Max put on a lemonade stand, benefitting Dia’s wife and two sons.
Max told WTOL that he wants to be a police officer when he grows up.
