First responders in Philadelphia rescued a man Tuesday night after he fled from police, jumped off a roof into a tree, and could not climb down.
The incident began when police apprehended a man who was wanted for drug offenses. As the man was being handcuffed, he escaped and climbed onto the roof of a home, officials told NBC10. From there, he jumped into a nearby tree.
After firefighters and police placed a ladder under the tree, they assisted the man as he inched his way down by sitting and slowly moving from one rung to the next. Once on the ground, he was taken into custody.
