Utah Man Allegedly Shoots at Officer, Turns Gun on Self

A Utah man accused of murdering his girlfriend earlier this week then reportedly opened fire on responding officers before eventually shooting himself in the face.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune , police responded to calls of a woman screaming inside a residence. Upon arrival, officers heard gunshots, and one officer was struck in the leg.

Police entered and found 34-year-old Natalie Thurber dead of a gunshot wound to the head.

Officers then conducted a search for the gunman, eventually locating the alleged gunman, who had suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
