University Police at Connecticut Campus Reforming Policies for Investigating Sexual Assault Allegations

Among the changes will be the addition of mandatory two-hour sexual harassment prevention training as well as training for several police officers on strategies for working with sexual violence victims. There will also be several changes to policies and procedures related to disciplinary matters.

Central Connecticut State University President Zulma Toro announced changes to the institution's police department after an investigation into the handling of two sexual assault allegations involving the campus police department, according to Fox News .

The investigation focused on allegations by a female officer with the CCSU Police Department against a male college, Curtis Lollar.

Lollar has since been fired by the department.

Former Hartford Police Chief Bernard R. Sullivan has taken over management of the department.
