A man who opened fire on two Jefferson County (Mo.) Sheriff's deputies was shot and killed by police when he refused to drop his weapon after a six-hour manhunt.
Deputy Nina Osia, 22, initially responded to a 911 hang-up call early Friday from a Cedar Hill home. Residents of the home told the deputy the call had been an accident. After noticing that the bedroom window was open, she left and returned with Deputy Michael Toombs, 43, at about 2 a.m.
