A deputy with the Scott County (KY) Sheriff's Office who was shot and paralyzed during a joint operation with the Georgetown Police Department is suing the department, claiming that the officer who shot him had only completed basic special response training one month prior to the incident.
According to the Courier Journal , Deputy Jaime Morales claims the Georgetown Police Department did not properly train members of a special response team who were called to help arrest a fugitive at an interstate rest area in September 2018.
