“When the officers went inside to search, the suspect was inside. He was hiding at the time. He opened fire on the officers while they were inside,” explains Littlejohn. “Officers returned fire at the suspect and then were able to get out of the residence.”
She said three officers were involved in the shooting and discharged their firearms at the suspect. Once officers vacated the residence, they established a perimeter and the department’s tactical team was activated.
We are currently at the scene of an officer involved shooting at 14,000 Iron Road which is near SE 134th & Harrah Road. Officers were attempting to serve an out of state warrant when a suspect fired injuring one of our officers.
