Ohio Sheriff Dies After Medical Event at Law Enforcement Convention

Greene County, OH, Sheriff Gene Fischer died last week after a medical emergency during the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association Convention in Sandusky.

According to Greene County, Sheriff Gene Fischer suffered a medical emergency at approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 16 while attending the convention.

Fischer was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, WDTN reports.
