NYPD: Officers Didn't Sexually Assault Actress Bynes

The New York Police Department has refuted actress Amanda Bynes' claim that officers sexually assaulted her during a Thursday arrest, an agency spokesman told E! Online Tuesday.

"NYPD Internal Affairs investigators have found no evidence to corroborate Ms. Bynes' allegations," Deputy Commissioner Paul J. Browne told the media outlet.

The 27-year-old former child star had threatened to sue the NYPD via Twitter follower her arrest. Bynes accused officers of illegally entering her 36th-floor Manhattan apartment, lying about marijuana possession and her throwing a bong out the window, and slapping her vagina.

Bynes also announced plans to sue the psychiatric facility where she was taken following her arrest, reports the Star-Ledger .

This isn't Bynes first brush with law enforcement. In April of 2012, she was arrested for drunk driving after she struck a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy's marked unit in West Hollywood. A few months later, she tweeted President Obama, asking him to fire the deputy who arrested her.
