Suffolk County, New York, Errol Toulon Jr. temporarily gave up his office to an 11-year-old kidney failure patient named Wyatt Tuesday (July 22, 2025).
Wyatt will soon receive a kidney transplant and the donor is the wife of a Suffolk County correction officer.
The honorary sheriff was given a tour of the sheriff’s office by the sheriff and his deputies, including technology, K-9 operations, and vehicles.
“It was an honor to spend the day with this brave young hero,” Sheriff Toulon said in a Facebook statement.
