Missouri Voters Reject TASER Ban

On election day, voters in Columbia, Mo., turned away a ballot measure that would have banned the use of TASERs within city limits, reports the Columbia Tribune.

Proposition 2 would have created an ordinance making it a Class A misdemeanor for any law enforcement agency or individual to threaten to use or activate any conducted electrical device within city limits.

The initiative, was rejected by 77 percent of voters, was launched by the group People for a Taser-Free Columbia.
