A group of Massachusetts House Republicans called for a vote Tuesday on a bill that, if it had been in place, would have kept behind bars the man accused of killing a Woburn Police officer during a botched armed robbery, reports the Boston Globe.
The state's Parole Board voted unanimously in 2008 to free Dominic Cinelli, a serial armed robber serving three life sentences. Cinelli, 57, is now accused of fatally shooting Officer John Maguire during a Dec. 26 armed robbery of a Kohl's jewelry counter.
