Los Angeles To Record Less Than 300 Murders In 2010

The city of Los Angeles is on track to close out 2010 with less than 300 murders, which represents a substantial drop from the more than 1,000 people murdered in the early 1990s.

About half of the murders are gang crimes and considered "repressible," according to an editorial in the Los Angeles Times.
