GA Sheriff Dies in Single Vehicle Duty Crash

Wilcox County, GA, Sheriff Robert Rodgers was killed Tuesday when his duty vehicle was involved in a single-car crash.

Wilcox County Coroner Janice Brown says Rodgers was driving on Highway 233 en route to a domestic call at the time of the accident, 41 NBC reports.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash and says that Rodgers lost control of his car, striking a tree and the vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side.
