The Cookeville Police Department (TN) released dashcam video of one of its officers scrambling to safety when a truck knocked power lines and a pole in his direction while on an accident scene.
Officers were working a single-vehicle accident at night in which power lines were down but suspended low across the road. The video shows an officer arriving on scene, walking toward the lines, and then spotting on the oncoming tractor trailer.
The officer tries to use his safety vest to flag the truck to stop.
