Authorities have identified Adam Lanza as the 20-year-old gunman who fatally shot 26 people at a Connecticut elementary school on Friday morning, after killing his mother.
Lanza fatally shot his mother Nancy Lanza and then drove his mother's car to the school. After arriving, he shot out the glass of a security door at the school shortly after 9:30 a.m. Many of the children killed were in two classrooms.
