Baltimore Officer Unharmed Despite Being Targeted with Gunfire

An officer with the Baltimore Police Department escaped serious injury despite being shot at by a man at a traffic stop on Monday night.

According to the Baltimore Sun , as the officer approached a stopped SUV, the gunman emerged from the vehicle and began to open fire.

The department said that the officer was not hit because he had created distance between himself and the gunman.

The driver then fled in his vehicle and remains at large.
