A Michigan man has been arrested and charged with five counts of attempted murder for allegedly setting up booby traps to harm Michigan State Police troopers.
MSP's Houghton Lake Post was contacted on Jan. 19 to investigate a fraud complaint in Ogemaw County. The victim said her credit card was used to purchase more than $1,500 worth of items from Walmart in West Branch, WXYZ reports.
The suspect, identified as 67-year-old Roger Allan Broadstone, refused to come out of his residence to speak to troopers.
Troopers obtained a search warrant and made entry. Police say Broadstone had barricaded himself inside the house. After entry, troopers had found that Broadstone allegedly set up a booby trap and made other preparations to harm troopers.
His bond was set at $1,125,000.
