Pennsylvania Officer Charged in Alleged Evidence Room Thefts

An officer with the Blawnox (PA) Police Department now faces charges following an investigation into an alleged theft from the evidence rooms of two different departments.

An officer with the Blawnox (PA) Police Department now faces charges following an investigation into an alleged theft from the evidence rooms of two different departments.

According to TribLive.com, Officer Joseph Andrew Lynn is allegedly responsible for multiple thefts from both his own department's evidence room as well as the evidence room of the nearby North Braddock Police Department.

State police began the investigation into Lynn's alleged theft after it was reported that seized cash had gone missing from the North Braddock Police Department evidence room

Investigators said that Lynn had been "found to be responsible for another set of unrelated theft incidents."

Lynn is charged with theft, evidence tampering, lying to authorities, obstructing the administration of law and misapplication of entrusted property.
