A task force of federal and local law enforcement agencies is aggressively pursuing the arrest and conviction of people who tried to kill police and civilians during the recent George Floyd protests and riots in Los Angeles.

During a Monday press conference, the Safe L.A. Task Force reported that it is seeking information on suspects accused of committing five cases of attempted murder of officers, 139 assaults on officers and civilians, 14 batteries on officers, and 10 arson crimes. There have been four arrests in the attempted murders of officers. The arson attacks included the destruction of an LAPD substation and an Apple store.

"We are going to hold people accountable for any criminal acts of federal violations," said Voviette Morgan, special agent in charge of the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office.
