At least 14 NYPD officers were injured while trying to rescue residents during a fire at a Bronx apartment building late Tuesday.
Authorities responded to the blaze that broke out at a six-story apartment building around 11 p.m., fire officials told PIX11.
The officers suffered minor injuries of smoke inhalation after they went around the building, knocking on doors to wake residents, authorities said.
