An agent with the United States Border Patrol was reportedly shot and wounded during a traffic stop near Del Rio, Texas over the weekend.

According to KMPH-YV, two agents had pulled over a vehicle on Friday night. One of the occupants opened fire, striking one of the LEOs. The other agent returned fire, striking and killing the gunman.

The Border Patrol agent was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threating injuries. The second suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
