An officer with the Oakland (CA) Police Department performed CPR on a man suffering a medical emergency in the parking lot of the Oakland Coliseum prior to the football game between the Raiders and the Denver Broncos on Monday night.

According to KRON-TV, Officer Daniel Mullens responded on his department-issued bicycle to a radio call of a man in medical distress shortly before the game was to begin.

Upon arrival at the scene, Mullens—a five-year veteran of the department who is also one of the lead first aid instructors for the agency—saw a civilian attempting CPR.

Mullens checked the victim's pulse and discovered none.

For 15 minutes, Mullens and other first responders continued CPR until the man's pulse returned.
