New Hampshire Department Announces New Mascot for Public Appearances

The Lebanon (NH) Police Department will soon have a fuzzy new mascot to present at fairs, festivals, and other public gatherings.

The Lebanon (NH) Police Department will soon have a fuzzy new mascot to present at fairs, festivals, and other public gatherings.

According to NBC News, the department commissioned BAM Mascots to design and produce the character. They then invited children between the ages of five and 12 to submit names.

The winning name—Justice—was submitted by seven-year-old Bodhi Agterberg.

The department said on Facebook, "We've chosen the design of a police working K-9 as a tribute to our hard-working police K-9s and their handlers. The LPD Mascot will make frequent appearances at community engagement events, schools, and other community activities."

The first public appearance of Justice will be at the Lebanon Farmers' Market on Thursday, July 18.
