Three officers with the Mansfield (TX) Police Department saved a teen from taking his own life by pulling him to safety and taking him into protective custody. On Thursday, the department released dash and body camera footage of the event, which took place Tuesday.

According to the Star Telegram, one of the officers—identified as 15-year veteran Officer Bryan Rogers—began speaking with the 19-year-old subject and developed a rapport with the young man.

As Rogers engaged the subject in conversation, Officers Kalif Jefferson and Max Gaona stealthily approached the young man from behind, rapidly grabbing him and dragging him to safety.

The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a nearby hospital for medical and mental evaluation.
