A Louisiana man was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly posted to social media threats against police officers, declaring January 2 to be "kill cops day."

According to NOLA.com, 43-year-old Harlan Cyprian specifically named a long-time, high-ranking member of the Covington Police Department in his online declaration.

Officers went to Cyprian’s home to arrest him in connection with the Facebook post, and during the investigation police also identified him as the suspect who used a pickaxe to break windows at the courthouse, police said.

Cyprian was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with felony terrorizing, simple criminal damage to property and resisting an officer with force or violence.
