A Tulsa police officer risked his life to save a teenage boy from a burning car, reports Fox23.com.

Edison High School senior Zack Whitney was with four other friends on Feb. 8, when the driver lost control of the car.

As the engine burst into flames, four of the teens were able to get out of the car but Whitney, who had been in middle of the back seat, couldn't move. He had four broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a fractured lower back.

That's when Officer Clayton Hicks pulled Whitney from the burning car.
