Jury selection began today for a man who allegedly ran down a Warren County (Ohio) Sheriff's deputy who was deploying stop sticks to halt a high-speed pursuit.

Sgt. Brian Dulle was struck and killed in May during the pursuit.

Marcus Anthony Isreal, 23, is accused of driving a stolen Cadillac that was being pursued across northern Warren County at high speed by Franklin police on May 10. Police tried to stop him for alleged speeding and not having working taillights.

The 18.3-mile chase ended about 10 minutes later on U.S. 42 at Utica Road near Lebanon, when the car, allegedly traveling at more than 100 mph, fatally struck Dulle, who was killed instantly while he was deploying a tire deflating device along the roadway.
