Texas Constable Collapses After Guarding Burned Homes

Travis County Constable Cpl. Kevin Aigner died after guarding homes damaged in the Steiner Ranch wildfire. Cpl. Aigner, 38, began having trouble breathing late Saturday and was rushed to Seton Medical Center.

Cpl. Aigner, 38, began having trouble breathing late Saturday and was rushed to Seton Medical Center, where he expired. The officer was known as someone who helped people who were new to law enforcement.

He leaves behind a wife, two daughters, and two sons.
