N.C. SWAT Officer's Funeral Relocated to Larger Church

The service was moved to uptown's First Baptist Church of Charlotte from Calvary Church, due to the expected attendance of hundreds of officers from around the state and well wishers.

The memorial service for Charlotte-Mecklenburg (N.C.) Police Officer Fred Thornton has been relocated to a church that can accommodate the larger crowd expected for the event, reports the Charlotte Observer.
