The chief executive of stun-gun producer Stinger Systems has accused the DeKalb County Police Department of not properly testing his products, before deciding to purchase 1,021 new Tasers for the department, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Stinger's CEO Bob Gruder also said his big was about $500,000 lower than the $1 million the agency paid for Tasers for its officers.
Gruder is claiming the officer who recommended the purchase is a Taser instructor who's paid by the Scottsdale, Ariz., supplier.
