A 2016 police pursuit that ended at Naval Air Station Lemoore was captured on FLIR video that was recently released and posted on YouTube. In the video, the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee being pursued by the California Highway Patrol crashed into the tail end of an F/A-18 airplane at the military installation. An officer with the Houston (TX) Police Department is either incredibly lucky, or incredibly good. Surveillance camera footage shows the officer shooting at an armed man at a gas station on Saturday night—the gun then flies from the suspect's hand.

Pennsylvania State Helicopter Called to Quell Unruly Crowd at College Football Game
A Pennsylvania State police helicopter was called in to hover low over a tailgate party prior to the Penn State football game against Ohio State on Saturday. According to WGAL-TV, the helicopter was called when party-goers started "getting out of hand" and tailgaters had ignored commands from police on the ground to disperse.

Baltimore Police Release BWC Footage of Deadly Gunfight
Officer Lippe was struck by three bullets; one hit his body camera, another was deflected by his bullet-proof vest and a third nicked his elbow, police said. Footage from Lippe’s camera was destroyed in the shooting. More Here.

Homeless Man Mourns Slain California Deputy Who Arrested, Then Cared for Him
Among the many people mourning the death of Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputy Mark Stasyuk is a convicted felon—now homeless—who was arrested by Stasyuk. Josh Nordquist, told the CBS News affiliate in Sacramento, "The dude had a real heart. He was an awesome man." More Here.

When an SRO is really active and really successful, kids will go out of their way to not only talk with him or her, but to thank them for their service. Just ask Officer Mitch, who works at Heritage High School in the San Francisco Bay Area. Colorado Police Agencies Collaborate to Release "Trick Shot" Video
The Colorado Springs Police Department posted a "First Responder Trick Shot Video" to the department's Facebook page featuring police officers from CSPD, Parker Police Department, Fountain Police Department, Greenwood Village Police Department, Castle Rock Police Department, Jefferson County Sherriff Office, and El Paso Sherriff Office—performing trick shots with darts, hockey sticks, basketballs, and yes… firearms.
