Cuong Phan, also known as Dien Le, was booked into the Johnson County Jail in Kansas for a second time in as many days after deputies discovered through a fingerprint that Le was Phan and Phan was wanted by Jackson County, Mo., officers for a robbery conviction some 11 years ago.  Now not only will Phan be returned to Jackson County to face his sentencing, he will be facing numerous new charges in Johnson County.

Phan was originally arrested by Shawnee, Kan., officers for aggravated battery and criminal threat on November 24 and posted a $10,000 bond that same day.  When he was booked into jail, he was fingerprinted and those fingerprints were sent to the FBI.

The fingerprints were identified as belonging to Cuong Phan, a person wanted for a robbery.  Phan was then returned to jail by the company who originally posted his bond, Mannie's Bonding Company.  Now not only will he be returned to Jackson County, he is facing additional charges in Johnson County of aggravated impersonation and identity theft on top of the aggravated battery and criminal threat charges.
