Adamson Industries Corp. will distribute Roadside Safety Supply's Duro Flash flare kit, which provides six battery-charged LED units designed to replace incendiary road flares for officers working an accident scene, according to the company.
The Duro Flash devices can be used by officers to mark vehicles, close a lane, direct traffic, or make a location more visible. A Duro Flash unit can also be placed under a cone for higher visibility.
Each Duro Flash device contains a lithium battery, providing five hours of continuous use. The units fully recharge in 120 minutes. The units can work with less than a full charge. Kit weight is 7.7 pounds; unit weight is 1 pound.
The on-off switch has been incorporated into the design of the unit, so it can be more easily recharged.
The Duro Flash system is available in red, blue, or amber LEDs and retails for $199.95.
