Officials in Holly Springs, Ga., have approved a plan to allow advertising on the city's patrol vehicles, as a creative way to raise revenue in a down economy.
Chief Ken Ball told WSBTV the city approved patrol car sponsorships to take "a burden off the taxpayer."
The ads won't be large NASCAR-sized ads or vehicle wraps, but smaller ads that could be placed on the vehicle's fender. Also, the city won't accept racy or controversial sponsors.
