The Westchester County Police academy graduated 31 recruits who will join 11 municipal and transit agencies in the area, reports Westchester.com.
The recruits graduated Friday, after 20 weeks of training in Valhalla. "You are now a part of the police family, and with that great privilege comes great responsibility," Public Safety Commissioner George Longworth told the group.
Of the 31 recruits, 18 will join the Yonkers Police Department.
