An Arkansas State Police lieutenant has been fired, arrested, and charged with taking cocaine from the agency's evidence room in Little Rock and turning it over to a drug dealer, the FBI announced.
Trooper Sedrick Reed, 43, removed cocaine from the evidence room and gave it to Lamont Johnson, 45, who then sold it to a confidential informant, according to the FBI. Reed was an 18-year law enforcement veteran.
If convicted, Reed and Johnson face 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
