An Oklahoma Highway Patrol cadet and a trooper were shot Monday during a training exercise at a shooting range.
Both the cadet and trooper, whose names were not released, were taken to OU Medical Center in good condition, Lt. Betsy Randolph told the Oklahoman newspaper. They both were released from the hospital Monday evening.
The cadet and the trooper were at the Oklahoma County sheriff's office shooting range participating in a training exercise for the 62nd Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy, Randolph said.
During the exercise, the cadet and the trooper were shot with one bullet, one through the leg and the other through the hand, Randolph said.
An investigation is under way.
