An officer with the Muskegon (MI) Police Department who was found to be in possession of KKK memorabilia has been fired.
According to CNN , Officer Charles Anderson was terminated after a disciplinary hearing concluded Thursday afternoon.

An officer with the Muskegon Police Department who was found to be in possession of KKK memorabilia has been fired.

He had been on administrative leave since early august as the agency conducted an internal investigation after a potential home buyer's Facebook post came to the attention of agency leaders.
The post read, in part, "As we are walking to the house I’m seeing confederate flags on the walls the dining room table and even the garage. I’m thinking to myself as a joke I’m walking to the imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan‘s house right now. So to my surprise as I walk into the bedroom there’s an application for the Ku Klux Klan in a frame on the wall and this home is an officer of the Muskegon Police Department. I immediately stopped my walk-through and informed the realtor that I am not writing an offer on this home and I am leaving now."
The Muskegon Fraternal Order of Police had "no comment other than Mr. Anderson is represented by a union and we have faith they will act in his best interest as he moves past this unfortunate situation."
