Because its original SWAT version was also popular with patrol officers, TacView now has a new version, the TacView PV (patrol version), that is designed to be carried in a patrol car trunk.

The TacView 1400 was developed to address officers’ surveillance needs with a safe solution. TacView is a micro camera with 24 infrared diodes attached to a telescopic pole. The TacView 1400 extends to 5.5 feet, can capture images in light or dark, and has a detachable camera head that can clip to a shield for surveillance when behind cover.
