A Really Dumb Idea
The problem with the push to develop smart gun systems and replace law enforcement duty weapons with firearms fitted with the technology is that it may do very little to prevent gun grabs and could make police operations even more dangerous.

The watch’s primary purpose is not to provide accurate time, though it does. The watch makes the gun think. Electronic chips inside the gun and the watch communicate with each other. If the watch is within close reach of the gun, a light on the grip turns green.
