"One of our officers through her Instagram account had a paywall set up and was posting pornographic videos on the other side of the paywall," said Chris Graveline, the director of the Detroit Police Department's Professional Standards section.
The resignation letters hint at a hostile work environment since the hiring of a new town manager.
Had the city simply fired Kammerzell, officials said, he likely would have won his job back — with back pay — through arbitration under federal and state labor laws.
“People make good arrests, do great police work, and the cases don’t get approved for felonies or don’t get prosecuted to the full extent of the law. It’s frustrating,” Roy said in an interview. “There’s a sense that the city doesn’t have the officers’ backs.”

Over the next minute, the dispatcher and another unidentified officer tell Rine the whole shift is working late. Rine: “33 Henry - I’ll be going upstairs to fill out my resignation letter then.”
The officer "acted in a manner entirely inconsistent with his K-9 training and had violated Police Department policy. As a result, he was recommended for termination.”
The former officer faces charges of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
There is an investigation underway and Chief Art Acevedo said he is “highly confident” [the officer] will be facing federal charges. He is now on administrative leave
