Undercover PA Detective Rescues Kidnapped Woman and Child

After running the man’s information, they learned he had an active warrant for kidnapping the child out of Oklahoma in July. He was immediately taken into custody.
An Atlanta officer jumped out of his patrol with his gun drawn, ran up to the driver's side window, and demanded the suspect get out of the car, the video shows.

FBI agents who were investigating that kidnapping tracked the suspects to an apartment complex in Leonia, NJ. The agents were serving a search warrant at 6 a.m. when one of the suspects was fatally shot.
Police in Lonoke, Ark., which is about 30 miles east of Little Rock, found the suspect and the abducted teen in an SUV outside a McDonald's restaurant off Interstate 40 on Saturday. That led to an exchange of fire and the wounding of one officer.
Police say Patric Ferguson then drove to the area of Frayser Blvd. and Denver Street, where they say he shot and killed Robert Howard. An affidavit says Ferguson shot Howard in the back of the squad car before moving the body to another location.
They identified the dead man as James David Hawley, 47, of Cleveland, accused of killing Norma Matko, 69, in Belmont County, Ohio, and kidnapping her daughter, Thoue Nichole Bronowski, 45, who is his ex-girlfriend.
Burke County Deputy Eric Madison has received the Medal of Valor, the highest honor offered to law enforcement, for acting to rescue a woman who had been kidnapped at gunpoint and tortured by her ex-husband.
