At some point, the suspect pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed the Daytona Beach officer in the face. The officer shot the suspect twice, killing him.
Upon arrival he sprints to the water, asks another officer for a baton, then quickly jumps in the water. He repeatedly struck the driver’s side window until it smashed, then pulled the woman out as water rushed in.
Part of the new law adds street racing and street shows to a list of exceptions for misdemeanors where the police don’t have to physically see the incident take place. That means just seeing a video showing one of those incidents allows law enforcement officers to track down those involved based on the vehicles, license plates or people filmed.
Deputy Christopher Taylor had conducted a traffic stop on I-75 and was outside his vehicle speaking with the driver of the stopped car. Another vehicle traveling at a higher rate of speed struck the patrol car, which subsequently hit Taylor.
The first deputy to arrive at the firebombing of the house says he saw Luke Neely, 30, throw one of seven Molotov cocktails. He says two exploded on the house and the others rolled down and ignited the yard.

The suspect swung the blades at K-9 Loki, cutting him on his nose and face. The suspect was quickly apprehended and Loki, a 7-year-old Belgian Malinois was taken to an area Veterinary Hospital for treatment, the sheriff's office says.
