NYPD Honors Female Police Leaders for Women's History Month
The NYPD now counts nearly 6,000 female officers among its ranks, a sharp rise from the 700 in the early 1970s. Of the current group, there are more than 600 detectives, 750 sergeants, 170 lieutenants, and approximately 50 with the rank of captain and above.

2012 COPS Grants Benefit Military Veterans
The DOJ's Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) office will provide $111 million to law enforcement agencies later this year to hire or retain officers or deputies. Agencies requesting new-hire positions must hire military veterans.

The Iowa Air National Guard's 132nd Fighter Wing has selected C4i's SwitchplusIP communications system. C4i's project management team completed the development, integration, installation, and training in early December. The installation consisted of a five-position SwitchplusIP system.
