FBI Links Shooting at Coast Guard Office to Four Others
Rounds fired at the Coast Guard office Tuesday morning caused minor damage and didn't injure anyone similarly to four others — two at a Marine Corps museum in Triangle, Va., another at a Marine Corps recruiting station in Chantilly, Va., and a fourth at the Pentagon.

LAPD Officer Killed By Roadside Bomb In Afghanistan
Officer Joshua Cullins had bounced back from a concussion suffered during the July 16 explosion of a roadside bomb. Fellow officers including Chief Charlie Beck recorded a video get-well greeting for Cullins that was posted to YouTube.
