Vievu Body Cameras on Patrol with Major Agencies
Oakland PD was an early advocate of Vievu body camera technology and has been using the company's products since 2010. The department currently has 775 cameras; most of them the Vievu LE3 model. Now the department is moving to upgrade all of its officers' cameras to the latest Vievu model, the LE5.

Vievu Introduces Body-Worn Camera with Selectable Field of View and Auto Activation Capabilities
The Bluetooth-enabled LE5 camera boasts two industry firsts: a user-selectable field of view and USB-C connection, according to Vievu. The LE5 camera is fully configurable to capture 95 degrees, which replicates the human eye, a narrower 70 degrees for a focused view, or a wide-angle 120 degrees. The USB-C connection provides fast charging, high speed and its symmetrical and reversible design allows easy docking.

Vievu Introduces the ClipLock Universal Body-Worn Camera Mounting System
Based on input from law enforcement officers throughout the U.S., Safariland Vievu designed the ClipLock mounting system to allow officers to switch body-camera mounts without having to use any tools. By using this improved attachment system, officers now have more options when mounting their Safariland VIEVU body-worn camera. The ClipLock system can be used on anything from lighter-weight uniform shirts, to external armor carriers and heavier winter coats.
