The FBI has released its 2018 LEOKA report, detailing the line-of-duty deaths that occurred last year. In 2018, 106 law enforcement officers were reported killed in the line of duty, with a 20% increase in felonious deaths of officers compared to the previous year.

Suspect Killed in 30-Minute Gunfight with SC Law Enforcement
Berkeley County Sheriff's Office Facebook states: "The Deputy was pinned behind his vehicle for approximately 30 minutes as the suspect shot at him. Multiple law enforcement agencies attempted to set up a perimeter to assist the Deputy in getting away from the scene, but the suspect continued to fire multiple rounds at the law enforcement officers."

Workplace Shooting Outside Chicago, 5 Officers Wounded, 5 Civilians Dead
Multiple law enforcement agencies—local and federal—reportedly responded to the incident, and Aurora Police now say five officers were shot and wounded in the incident that left five workers at the business and the gunman dead. The injured officers are reportedly stable.
